Joseph was born in New York and raised Roman Catholic, becoming an atheist in his early teens. Joseph has a social work degree specializing in policy and social justice. With a passion for civil rights, he has been involved in battles for marriage equality and reproductive justice in his state. Using his experience advocating on behalf of multiple causes and populations, Joseph is working to build a local coalition to work alongside his atheist group. When he isn’t reading a good science fiction novel or watching Star Trek, Joseph spends his time with his dog.
