Gawd Darn

It fascinates me that the Christian ‘God’, who, according to the Bible, actually created the entire universe, with its 2 trillion galaxies, each containing at least a billion of stars, and countless planets, looks exactly like a male homo sapiens, and exhibits all the same emotions, love, hate, jealousy, etc. These traits are exhibited in Gawd’s deliberate killing of untold thousands of humans who didn’t believe in him, and sentencing others to eternal damnation for the same lack of belief. The Old Testament emphasizes these unpleasant traits, yet in the New Testament we are expected to believe that He has change his ways, and now loves us all, and proves it by sending his “son” down to Earth to die for our sins. Except for the little proviso that we must believe in Him, or be damned. It doesn’t matter if you are a great philanthropist, helping thousands of your fellow humans, you gotta believe in Him! Sorta makes him the biggest egotist in the universe – it’s all about ME! ME! ME!

If he is the evil tyrant that the Holey Babble tells us he is, then I can understand why people bow their heads, clasp their hands and close their eyes when attempting to speak to him, but if he is the loving Father Christians claim, then they should look him straight in the eye – it’s only polite.
